ANNE & PATRICK POIRIER - MUSÉE INGRES BOURDELLE

08.07.2023 > 01.05.2024

Since 2019, the Salle du Prince Noir, located in the museum's basement, has been welcoming contemporary artists. Following in the footsteps of Miguel Chevalier, Georges Rousse and Speedy Graphito, Anne and Patrick Poirier have now taken over this monumental 14th-century space with an original installation.

For the first time, the former prison is also being used. Through these two installations, the duo metamorphose the site, inviting us to take a fresh look, not only at the remarkable remains of a bygone era, but also, through their metaphorical dimension, at today's world. The exhibition also includes two broken-glass sculptures from the Ouranopolis series (1996), thus establishing a visual and semantic link with Un miroir du monde ? which inhabits the Salle du Prince Noir.
